Finer Things in Tech Guidelines
** Guidelines
Thanks for submitting to a Finer Things site! This is not the place to find news or even analysis. We like to celebrate the surprise features and UI gems that developers slave to add to the software and websites we use every day. We are obsessed with productivity and polish.
The Finer Things sites are powered by Tumblr, so you can create different types of posts like quotes, links, videos, and good ol’ fashioned text. Please use these different types of posts when appropriate.
While we hope to approve most submissions, there is no guarantee. To ensure your chances are high, check your post for grammar and punctuation, as we will not approve posts with blatant errors.
Keep things concise. Just post the interesting thing you found, and use good judgement as to whether you need to fluff with context. Usually you do not. Link the company or product name instead of writing a paragraph, and our readers should know how to quickly catch up on a topic elsewhere when they need to. If in doubt, read some posts and pay attention to things like tone and length to get an idea of how to craft your submission.
Finally, if you are not a Tumblr user, the name you use in the Submit form will be credited on your post. If you are a Tumblr user, your name will link your blog. Submissions containing scam, phishing, or spam sites will be rejected, and the submitter banned permanently.
